Video: Overpopulating Paradise

Two thousand nine is the 200th anniversary of Darwin's birth and the 150th anniversary of the publication of his seminal work leading to the theory of evolution. It also marks 50 years since the creation of the Galapagos National Park. If population growth and tourism continues the way it is, this Eden of Evolution will no longer exist with the same biodiversity. Tourists would no longer see the same rare endemic species such as the Galapagos Tortoises, or the Blue-footed boobies, that Darwin saw when he landed.
